The George Formby Story This is a nostalgic, light-hearted and highly entertaining one hour talk on the life of George Formby including some of George Formby's more well known cheeky songs. Derek is self-accompanied on ukulele-banjo during which he encourages audience participation.

He made a valuable and entertaining contribution to the ‘Liverpool Blitz 70’ Event During the course of the three days of this Tribute Event, Derek switched several times from the commanding persona of Prime Minister to the cheek chappy musician, George Formby. Those 1940s jaunty classics were delightfully entertaining to the audience which kept changing all the time as people passed through the city centre.
